Kindergarten Cop Cancel

Film Kindergarten Cop (1990) banned by in USA from Portland screening…

The State has a long tradition of making movies to lie to the population about its broken Education System. The truth is that they are dysfunctional and broken just like the rest of our Socialist/”Mixed” economy and in direct proportion to Government interference. Currently the Flagship of Woke Government Schooling is Christchurch’s Haeata Community College, a disaster.

Lying about Government education is a central motif, an abiding social fiction, of The State. Part of the lie is that, yes, Government schools are dysfunctional and deadly and corrupting but they can be “saved” by more taxpayer money and the faith of parents and public. Especially, they can and will be redeemed by superhuman teachers who will come into these toxic environments and redeem them.

This works both ways in the State Mythology because our Hero Teacher is also on a hero’s journey. He or she must also learn to self-improve and overcome a personal development and in doing so heal their class of students or even an entire school.

“They were problem kids with one last chance….Her.”- Dangerous Minds

These impossible redeeming characters have been played by Sidney Poitier (To Sir, with Love, 1967,) Morgan Freeman (Lean on Me, 1989,) Robin Williams (Dead Poets Society, 1989,) Albert Finney (The Browning Version, 1994,) Michelle Pfeiffer (Dangerous Minds, 1995,) Jack Black (School of Rock, 2003,) and Hilary Swank (Freedom Writers, 2007.) Often they have really great soundtracks to help sell this redeeming message that State schools really could/can work.

A lesser known item in this mythology cannon is Kindergarten Cop (1990) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as an undercover cop pretending to be a teacher so he can bust crime. Arnie goes in a nasty mean policeman and has a comedic Heroes Journey to emerge as an empathetic and respected human being. A Policeman (Public Enemy #1 during current Black Lives Matter era) is softened and humanised by his contact with the world of children and State Schooling.

Well, we can’t have that!

“…racist assumptions. Because despite what the movie shows…in reality, schools don’t transform cops. Cops transform schools, and in an extremely detrimental way.”- Kindergarten Cop Is Canceled, Likened to Birth of a Nation; Reason.com

‘Kindergarten Cop’ screening canceled in Oregon, compared to ‘Gone with the Wind’; Fox News

“The comedy film Kindergarten Cop has been pulled from a film festival after protesters claimed it glorifies police traumatizing children…”; Kindergarten Cop is CANCELED: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1990 comedy is pulled from film festival for ‘romanticizing over-policing children’ and is compared to Birth Of A Nation; Daily Mail

A Politically Correct Kindergarten Cop would be a horror, I guess. Arnie would simply terrify the children, arrest and beat up their parents, it wouldn’t be funny, the school would be ruined, and we’d all hate cops by the end credits. Failing this, the movie must be cancelled.
