Michael Baker

Michael Baker is a Government spin doctor in Wellington, attached to the University of Otago. A few days ago he said there was a sense of complacency – “even smugness” in New Zealand that Covid-19 wouldn’t return.

He’s Puritanical.  A modern Thomas Cromwell, his faith clothed in the guise of medicine. Baker is showing that those who try to go back to work or play are not on the side of his Government. They’re smug, complacent, and they endanger the tribe. He’s referring to Judith Collins and the National Party and any who oppose the Sombre Party’s re-election.

Today, Baker went even further along these same lines. If people believe this propaganda they will be paranoid, anxious, afraid. And, they will re-elect Labour 6.0.

Baker said, on TVNZ Breakfast, that COVID is infectious for days when not showing symptoms. This fuels paranoia. The enemy is invisible and there’s no telling who is in its grip.

Baker also says that public enemies spread the virus by talking, breathing, laughing, even singing! That’s the clear branding of Jacinda Ardern and Labour 6.0 for this election. Sombre, serious, safe, sanctuary.

If New Zealand can talk and breathe and laugh and sing again before the General Election then Labour 6.0 will not be re-elected.

Labour don’t ask us to vote for them (and whatever they stand for. wont say) but to vote for the sake of COVID.

Why give a PSA against singing in supermarkets?
1. Because Labour need people to be repressed and subservient so they can win the COVID election. Joy and song and self-expression disrupt the paranoia their re-election depends upon
2. Because even Baker can’t spin this bullshit with a straight face and needs cover for having a laugh at his own words
Update: Very clear example of the above observations shown here in the case of the BBC coming within an inch of censoring British anthems at The Last Night of the Proms.
