How Government Grows Victimhood Culture

If you own your own home you’ve seen a rates bill before. Or, look over this one at the list of things a home-owner his charged by their local mafia…

General rates, regulatory services, car roading, foot paving, parks, libraries, pools, heritage, transport, refuse, waste minimisation, lighting,…..goods and services we are forced to pay for and often consume against our own will. For “our own good.” Too bad if you don’t want to swim or borrow books etc, you are a captive audience. You have been colonised by a Feudal Lord! Who really owns your home?

Anyway, what’s really interesting to me about all this Regulatory Capture is the transferral of responsibility from people to State. Back in the pioneering and Settling days, New Zealanders did things for themselves. The roads, footpaths, lights, pools, libraries etc were all created and run by free people. Only later did The State take them over and, more and more, administer them. (Of course, Statist Propaganda tells the people that it was they, not us, who invented and developed all these things and are the reason we are not without them; Lies.)

So when your water doesn’t work or your road has a pothole in it who do you turn to now?

Will you be active, hands on, productive? No. Not only can you not maintain your own infrastructure now but you could be prosecuted for doing so without a licence. The State hates competition.

The citizen receiving rates bills such as the above must turn to The State in order to create and maintain all the above services. The way to get things done is not with your spade and your ingenuity, the way to get things done is by winging to The State. Petitions, letter-writing, talk-back radio rants, ballot boxes, phone calls. The means of production shift from active to passive. Successful change in one’s environment comes from the power to manipulate and influence a third party who can get things done; You cannot. The sovereign individual is dethroned from being the Alpha of their own life, the king of their own castle. The State is your new Alpha.

Why, what is this but Victimhood Culture? That Moral Culture that accepts Beta status to Masters and strives to reform the world by pressuring someone else to do it. Someone else who is active, the Alpha, the resourced, the powerful. What is the citizen these days but a slave raised by a slave?

The State, therefore, has a disgenic influence on people. The more you try to grow, produce, and own, as a person the more the Statrix entangles and assimilates you. When you’re down it’s less difficult to become and to be an Anarchist. They say it’s hard to be an Atheist in a foxhole; Well, it’s hard to be an Anarchist in a Statehole.
