New Years day is upon us, welcome to a new decade: The 2020s. In these days of r-selected hegemony there aren’t many outspoken people willing to take responsibility for holding strong views at all. Not unless they’re establishment ones! Nor is a long time horizon, an eye to the future, a common trait these days. Thus, VJMP Predicts The 2020s is a brave and rare essay even if you do not agree with it.
My estimate is that the 2020s will carry our society into a mainstream of Honour Culture once again. Following on after such a hard-core Victimhood Culture, the HC characteristics are going to be more emphasised than they have been since the 1980s. Already we see the rise of Physical Culture, for example the return of grass-roots wrestling competitions in the regions and even on TV¹. Just as the 2010s saw the erasure of sex and gender, the Honour Culture 2020s will restore it by emphasising marked masculine and feminine forms. Athleticism will be the main locus for men (a new Sandow/Schwarzenegger will rise) but Honour Culture women once again will gravitate to beauty. The 2020s women will emphasise their secondary sexual characteristics, their attraction to powerful men, their fertility signals. The Grid Girls abolished in the recent VC purge will return. The K-selected Moral Cultures are rising but they will not last several decades. The r-selected Moral Cultures (Victimhood and Slave) will lick their wounds in their bug-out communes during the 2020s and return in the mid-2030s but next time with more humility.

On the contrary, the rise of the K-selected cultures will revive social cohesion to levels not seen since KZ7 Honour Culture (c.1980-7.) If we see a re-boot of community and teamwork shows like Top Town it will be no accident. In some form, we will, and likewise a return to Scouting and Freemasons either under the same mantles if they survive the current era or others if not.

The President will certainly be re-elected in November this year and, yes, Western Cheavanism will become mainstream again. Under what title? It has already been minted but what name and symbols come to be chosen to express it is not yet clear.

My prediction using TMC is that the next political leadership dichotomy will resemble Honour Culture exponents such as Stuart Nash and Judith Collins. This will happen in the early 2020s and be quite normal and refined by 2030.
In the realm of religion, the 2020s will be marked by the further collapse of the Abrahamic cults…organised ex-Muslims will be powerful forces in many countries
I think our Christians have long since collapsed as much as they were going to- transferring their drives and mentalities to the cult of Social Justice and/or State bureaucracy. Those who remain, especially the High Catholics, will double-down on their dogma. Despite being anti-Enlightenment their values do, by accident or natural selection, frequently stand them in better stead than atheists who have thought theirs though. Muslims, likewise.

Don’t think so. Only because Luciferianism is reactionary toward Christianity in form without being able to dispute its key tenants. As there are less Christians around there will be less disaffected prodigal children to rebel or be forgiven; Hardly enough to make for a social movement here.
Both cannabis and the major psychedelics will be fully legal everywhere by the end of the 2020s. The War on Drugs…akin to the criminalisation of homosexuality.
Making war on drugs and homosexuals are symbolic acts by Honour Culture societies that we have yet to outgrow. Certainly the 2020s HC is an evolution on all iterations before but I highly doubt it has come so far as to be able to resist lashing out against these same scapegoats. They’re just too darn useful. The Concrete Cultures (Slave and Honour) will dominate the mainstream for about half a generation, yes. By definition, they’re not big thinkers. Abstract thought, great art, and technological comprehension will remain in the underground until the mid-2020s. However, another defining trait of the HC is that they protect the family. So perhaps instead of bashing gays they’ll be bashing pedophiles. They would be only too happy.

Not at all. The institution of the Incel is a phenomena of Slave Culture and will have very much run its course by 2025. The Honour Culture, as pointed out above, is boldly sexual. We might even see hairy chests and medallions out in public again because that’s what they did a couple of turns ago.
As a side note- I’m going to really enjoy getting another spin of Honour Culture Action Movies. Not to mention TV shows. Not PC/SJW/Victimhood Culture/Woke reboots but proper returns to shows like The A-Team and Magnum PI and Renegade and Highlander. The 2020s James Bond will be a wonderful return to form too, as will the other Dignity Culture art forms. And the comedy! It’s going to be funny again in the 2020s. Thank goodness, it’s been so long!
Interest rates will remain low, bordering on subterranean
I suspect we need a good Slave Culture Slump so the Honour Culture phoenix can hatch again. The only thing to fear is that the dying Victimhood Culture Government will exacerbate the pain because they are unable to accept their time is up.
It’s uncertain what the climate will do over the next 10 years.
New Zealand’s climates will do what they have always done, meterologically speaking. People talking about climate only think they’re talking about the weather though when really they’re unconsciously discussing the change of Moral Culture climate. It is ever and always a class phenomena. The r-selected population is afraid of change at the hands of the K-selected. That’s why we see silly headlines like these- ‘Billionaires Are the Leading Cause of Climate Change’ (ref image.)
Mass surveillance will become normalised, and anyone who objects to it will be dismissed as paranoid.
Honour Culture, having achieved hegemony and political rule, will not dismiss anyone as paranoid who doesn’t trust these high falotin’ gadgets. The mainstream culture, and anyone who wishes to represent them, will not rely on or impose spy gear onto anyone considered to be part of their own group. There will be no advances and, indeed, existing infrastructure will be wound back.
Such technology is the purview of the Abstract Cultures. Dignity Culture will invent and develop it to benefit mankind, then Victimhood Culture comes along and subverts it to assassinate characters. This is a 2030s concern, not ours.
In some places, stretches of the 2020s will be like the film Battle Royale. This will cause some very strange alliances and feuds.
That’s the part that should sadden us the most, the violence. The Battle Royale Honour Culture (2000) was mild in our previous iteration but the coming one will be more like the 1980s unfortunately. Kiwis Bombed Kiwis, Queen Street Rioted, Government spy-computers were attacked. In previous HC time periods we have also gone to fight unnecessary wars.
If our HC has not yet reached a level of sophistication where I can’t say it will not attack drug users and sexual deviants then how can it not also have moved beyond violence either? Sorry about that, chief.
Culturally speaking, we agree with Rick Giles that the 2020s ought to see a return of physical Honour Culture. The increasing paranoia and worsening economic conditions will cause many to realise that a social collapse is eminently possible. Many have already taken measures to prepare for this by hoarding firearms and precious metals, but there will be a surge in those who prepare by getting fit.
Bingo.
It will get worse in terms of society, which will become ever shittier and more soulless and authoritarian.
Much of this, especially as we begin, will be a breath of fresh air. Some HC house-cleaning is what it takes to sweep out the cobwebs of the cultures that came before. And when the 2020s Honour Culture does start to become unbearable it will be overthrown in turn by 2020s Dignity Culture. And, I’m really looking forward to that!
Every time one of our Moral Cultures gets another shot at the throne it is different, more evolved, than the time before. Overall, the human race and especially our little New Zealand slice of it, is marching along to a better and better future.
It will get better in the sense that it become possible to reject the system and to carve one’s own niche in cyberspace or in the counterculture that will dominate this decade.
Yes, I think that’s absolutely true. New art, new intellectual life, and strong new friendship ties will be made this decade. It’s a great time to be a content creator in independent media. We’re early to the scene and can expect to make lots of new friends. However, it will not remain the counter-culture for long but mainstream again. Then, as now.
