These straws bring convenience and pleasure to children and adults at a tiny cost. They improve the environment, the human environment.

One got up a sea turtle’s nose now the same image is played over and over as if it’s not littering that’s the problem but products per se.

The new Puritanism is nothing more than political signalling of people running from their own internalised toxic shame. The environment they need to stop polluting is in their own life but they’d rather ‘reform’ anything but that.
