Government English, Government History

Would you trust a Government School with your child’s education?

“In Canterbury about 150,000 adults have no or only Level 1 qualifications, meaning they have a reading age roughly equivalent to a 14-year-old.”

“Across New Zealand, it is estimated that more than 1 million adults have literacy difficulties in their everyday lives.”- New Zealand’s ‘basic skills problem’ holding economy back; Stuff

English as a compulsory subject until 6th form hasn’t made kids any better at English…

Maybe The State thinks this situation isn’t subject to economic science though because they’ve gone and made history compulsory now!

“Within the next three years, New Zealand history will be taught in all schools and kura, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this morning..”- New Zealand history will be compulsory in all schools by 2022; Stuff

You haven’t seen how bad things can get until you put The State in charge of it.
