The Climate Change Commissioner is still talking of achieving carbon zero targets! Even now, when the country, the world, is being bent over backwards to appease the COVID-19 demon they don’t let up. Of course not.

Give someone a title and a portfolio to be in charge of a budget and staff and projects….they’re going to find a way to keep that bureaucracy going! They wont let some tiny little detail like the entire thing being bullshit get in the way of that! Or, you don’t know The State!

Poor Rod Carr, right? Affordable oil and all this COVID-19 confusion is getting right up in the way of his Commission on a Mission! How’s Rod going to lead this nation to higher ground if believers stop believing that the ocean is coming to drink New Zealand?

The only way to stop Rod Carr from banging on his pot lid is to give him something else to do. This is how people get promoted in the public sector. ‘Kicked upstairs’ is the only way to get rid of people you don’t like. Why do you think ex-Prime Ministers get sent to Washington DC to be the ambassador? Why would John Banks run for mayor of Auckland again in 2019 except so that one of the candidates would pay him off to piss off?

Rod Carr was moved on from such a job (Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury) with the promise of being a big man in the Climate Change Show. If that stops making sense…well, he’ll just keep going nonsensically then! Make him COVID-19 Tzar or send this man to Washingtion. Someone on the 9th Floor of the Beehive has to shut him up somehow. He’s asking for it!

ps The price of oil has gone lower but now hit some kind of price floor. Why is that?
