“Anarchism is a joke”

June 7, 2020

By NZB3

“Anarchism is a joke,” or Conversation with a New Conservative Voter…

A guide to debate. Some empathy (has this happened to you?) And, a bit of insight into the sorts of friends you can make by voting for the New Conservative political party…

NZB3: Oh, you thought Labour 6.0 were interested in the good of the nation or something?

No man, they’re politicians. They’re only concerned about closing dirty deals and winning re-election so they can close some more of the same.

That’s the history of politics in New Zealand. Every party does it, ever time. The only cap to how far the parasite will sell us down the river is how much we, the host, is willing to put up with. The only variation is what special words we like to hear while they’re doing it to us.

Another way? That would be Anarchism.

New Conservative: Anarchism is a joke. Is that the best you can come up with? Seriously! Anarchism? Do you even have a faint understanding of Human nature? Zero Govt means zero police, zero army. zero borders etc. It means open season for anyone else wanting to rule over us, because you can bet that China won’t be running a system of anarchy. Anarchism is a complete dreamworld.

NZB3: “…a joke…a complete dreamworld.”

So you think it would be quite easy for a clever guy to take it down by appeal to reason and evidence?

“Do you even have a faint understanding of Human nature?”

Try me. Is that the title of your Anarchist Take Down speech? Let’s have it.

“Zero Govt means zero police, zero army. zero borders etc.”

???

“China won’t be running a system of anarchy.”

Sounds like a good recommendation. They’re not very good role models are they?

New Conservative:  Rick, you are a buffoon. I’m actually sick of your attitude to be honest. This isn’t the first time. You can find yourself another friend to push anarchism on, because that aint me.

You are obviously not as smart as you think you are. Anarchism is a total logical fallacy. It never worked in the first place and it sure as hell won’t work in a complicated world full of nations with billions of people.

Yes it is a dreamworld and you are welcome to it.

NZB3: Abuse me just a little bit more. I feel like you’re winning the argument and I’m going to have to re-think my choices.

“You are obviously not as smart as you think you are.”

Could you make it a little bit more obvious? Say “dreamworld” 3 times and that’s as good as a syllogism. Your score is currently 2.

New ConservativeHumans are hierarchy based creatures. It’s in our nature. Unless you somehow think you can change human nature, you beter get another theory. The only possibility for humans to totally change their nature is to come completely under Gods sovereignty and depart from all forms of fear and deception. That’s not going to happen either.

NZB3: “Humans are hierarchy based creatures. It’s in our nature. ”

Premise accepted.

“The only possibility for humans to totally change their nature is to come completely under Gods sovereignty and depart from all forms of fear and deception.”

Premise accepted.

Bring it home.

New Conservative: If you had started this with a normal conversation, i would have remained civil, but because you did not, you can piss off. Bye bye.

NZB3: We Anarchists are big on self-responsibility.

Since you’re not an anarchist yourself it’s perfectly consistent for you to blame other people for your own incivility because they’re not “normal” and have triggered you.

No objections at all. Might even apologise.

New Conservative: It’s not going to happen. You have to face the facts of the world. That’s why Anarchism is only ever theoretical. It has no practical use in reality. That is all you are left with. The theory with no way to utilize it. What does that say about you? It says that you provide no workable solution whatsoever.

New Conservative: My position is based on reality and how to grapple with reality and make the best out of a bad situation. Something you seem to cast off, because it is easier for you to believe in pie in the sky theories, than actually grapple with reality. Says it all really.

NZB3: ” …not going to happen…face the facts…theoretical….no practical use… no workable solution whatsoever.”

If you like pragmatism and reality-grappling why not offer an argument for these sweeping conclusions?

Let’s get beyond the abuse and hear your case. You say it’s easy, you say it’s obvious. Bring it.

New Conservative: This is not a game. Not a competition.

The case is easy. There is no avoiding the fact that Human nature is pulled in two directions. One direction is towards development and one is towards decay. There is no static third position.
Since it has never once happened in Human history, that all humans have become so developed that some sort of utopia emerges, we are faced with the fact that it is not likely to happen now either. We can individually develop, but our neighbour is likely not to. So where does that leave us? Do we assume that we don’t need a lock on our door and that we can leave our keys in our car, because we ourselves are developed and trustworthy? No. We exercise prudence, which is exactly what we do as nations. We have borders, we have a military and we have a police force. Without those things, It’s not Anarchism that you would get. It would be chaos.
These things have been worked out for centuries and this is why the world is the way it is. We live in plan B for a reason. The reason that we as a species do not and possibly cannot develop as a whole.

This is all i am saying to you, because I’m not wasting anymore time. Someone else can come in and add if they like.
I’m not here all day, to entertain you.

NZB3: “The case is easy.”

Great. You just needed to threaten to un-friend me a few times and now things get easy. Drop that needle….

“it has never once happened in Human history… it is not likely to happen now either.”

Your case is that we should only pursue solutions that are easy/likely and walk pathways that have already been well trodden before? I can refute that.

“It would be chaos.”

Begging the question. Remember, I don’t already agree with you so you’ve got to work for it just a little.

“These things have been worked out for centuries and this is why the world is the way it is.”

Were they ‘worked out’ intellectually in a way you can easily communicate? Or is it more in the nature of a mantra that you ram down people’s throats while calling them names and threatening to dissociate and disengage unless they come around to your opinions?

If the latter, it requires that the other person be in some sort of relationship with you. Emotional blackmail only works if there’s some kind of dependency you can withdraw. You and I don’t have that.

“We live in plan B for a reason”

Is it that you don’t know or just wont say what that reason is?

“This is all i am saying to you, because I’m not wasting anymore time.”

It’s OK, I’m multitasking.

“Someone else can come in and add if they like. ”

Can any of Justin’s friends tap in to articulate for him what he’s trying to say? I’ve used him up. Send more!
