NPC Listening

This is roughly true of what a Blue Pilled person means when they refer to listening:
“Listening: Agreeing completely without argument.”
They think everyone’s a Lefty but some of us wander off the reservation and need to be guided back. So they (benevolently) shine a beacon by reciting a few mantras in the prescribed tones. If you don’t see their lighthouse beacon then the tone changes and the mantras get more repetitive.
If you don’t find your way back it’s your fault. You’re not receiving the NPC siren song. You’re not coming home to group think- “Not listening.”
We think we’re critical thinkers or might even embrace the fact that people hold different values. They think there is a line to be followed and everyone has the same values but sometimes people just stray from their trail like a disorientated ant or a bee with a bent antenna.
If you’re Blue Pilled and confused about what to say and do then another Blue Pilled person helps you out by prompting you back into the Group Think. You’re thankful and would do the same for them. A stressful situation has been avoided (thinking for yourself) and you’re back in the heard. Within this circle of Non-Player Characters, the Blue Pilled, this is known as ‘listening’. It’s the acceptance of course-correction like some wayward drone.
Of course, to the Red Pilled person with an individual mind of his own the concept of ‘listening’ has a different meaning. It has the English language meaning. To listen is not only to hear but to process information by thinking about it. Not only to see but to observe. New information is not just inputted as instructions. New information is integrated to be understood and accepted or rejected according to the base of knowledge one has already built up over a lifetime. One thinks for oneself. Listening is a process of consuming and digesting information rather than ingesting pre-digested edicts.
