My good mate Warwick keeps telling me not to watch the mainstream news but sometimes I do anyway. I tell him I can handle it. I’m way past the days when I used to get triggered unto anger and these days I find the mixture of propaganda and infomercials simply funny. So it was tonight (4 Nov 2021) with two ironic stories that were over the heads of the news editors.
In our first story, Maoris on TV were bemoaning the fact that they couldn’t convince their people to trust them. To stop being ‘uninformed’ and ‘hesitant’ and emerge from the woodwork to take their pointy arm medicine. Yet the Te Hau Āwhiowhio ō Otangarei Trust in Whangarei being filmed as part of this publicity shoot were caught with their contractions down.
“STOP PLEASE REMAIN IN YOU’RE CAR THANK YOU!!!” reads their vaccination station signage.
Staying with the 6 o’clock TVNZ news tonight…
Religious leaders are faced with the choice of dividing their congregation into different groups: The jabbed and the un-jabbed. The Christians interviewed said “no” they would refuse to to that.
However, the Indians interviewed look thrilled at the chance to inflict a caste system. The Sikh Supreme here looked so happy I thought his turban might take flight! I guess those Indians feel more at home relegating some of their people as ‘untouchable’.
If there were enough interested Anarkiwis we could have a lot of fun making Youtube videos pulling the mainstream news apart making observations like these. The editors are apparently so dumb they are oblivious of how ironic and mad their own stories are.
