A visit to Camp Freedom
February 27, 2022
By NZB3
The following is an interview with my mate Heather and her observations of the Freedom Protest on parliament grounds against the Covid Mandates. She has also supplied these amazing photos from a visit on Thursday 24 February 2022.
Heather is an extraordinary Kiwi just like you, a widow from the West Coast who has migrated to the North Island. In her spare time she curates the incredibly rich resource that is West Coast New Zealand History. The pictures and especially the remarks are crowd-sourced from Coasters worldwide using Facebook which the administrators painstakingly gather up and add to the record. Many of the anecdotes and memories and facts come from people who will soon be gone or who already are. If not for this work that knowledge would be lost. Heather’s day job is also dedicated to preserving New Zealand’s heritage or at least it was. For 18 years she has been preserving New Zealand’s old newspaper archives by dubbing them into digital, searchable, form. Heather is/was a (if not the) core of the Papers Past curation team at the National Library of New Zealand.
You don’t have to be interested in Anarchist History to appreciate the above two invaluable resources. Every historian uses Papers Past now and when they do they are drawing on the work of Heather and her team.
The National Library is well and truly on the political side of Labour 6.0. They have closed their doors in solidarity with Government, the better to play the victim of the Freedom Protest and accuse them of disruption. They have started ethnically cleansing the nation’s library of Anglo-Saxon heritage books in a process they see as “de-colonising” disposals. And, they have mandated their staff to be medicated with the 3 (so far) government COVID injections. That is a compulsion that even our police and army do not accept and when management tried to force it on them they fought back and had the High Court judge it as unlawful. Thus Heather, and others in her workplace, were handed the cruel choice to be dismissed or else submit to medical treatments they did not consent to.
Like so many others, Heather bravely put herself on the line to stand up for herself and her free country. So, that is how she came to take an interest in the Freedom Protest camped at parliament and to visit it to see what was going on.
NZB3: Have you seen the protest?
I went to the protest camp today. That was my third visit. I decided to go in today to get a sense of whats going on because the media have painted a bad picture and i wanted to see what the truth was. It’s not at all what the media says it is. Its amazing. I arrived at 9:30am and it was calm and quite and so well organised and clean. Tents set up for food and first aid and massage and clothing and haircuts.
I talked to some people.. one woman from Masterton said 27 of her extended whanau have died from the vax including two children. There is a tent there with posters of family members of people who have been vax injured. She said they died within 24 hours. The baby was stillborn within 24 hours of the vax and a 12 year old died 24 hours after the vax.
It’s horrific and there are crosses representing people who have died from the vax. The vibes were amazing, people are so friendly and you can just stop and talk to anyone. I was talking to a lady who is in the team for security and she said they patrol at night and kick out the trouble makers. She said some people come in from outside and steal things from the tents.
I heard so many stories. A young couple came down from Keri Keri. both lost their jobs. And school teachers and midwives were there who had lost their jobs.
NZB3: Someone ought to write a book…someone will….
The goodwill is amazing. Truckloads of food coming from Auckland and Whangarie and Rotorua in support. They get breakfast at 7am and then morning tea.. lunch.. afternoon tea,,, and dinner then supper. Its all free and people come around with trays of food offering it even to visitors. I didn’t have any because I wanted it kept for them. I said to that lady I admire you, giving up your comforts to come here and camp. The mood is upbeat and positive and people are kind.
The kids are well catered for. They have playgroup sessions and kindy and school and they have movies at night and a bouncy castle. It’s so well organised. Not the chaos that the media makes out and all sorts of people..the whole range.
NZB3: I’m glad. How can the politicians be so incredibly myopic?
While I was there Trevor Mallard came out with his loud speaker and told everyone to go home. The lady told me he does that at 10 o’clock at night.
NZB3: What a jerk Do they call “nite Trev!”
He’s so childish. Parasites.
NZB3: Look at that, you’re becoming an Anarchist!
I felt totally comfortable there and included. Not like a social reject and I didn’t have to wear a muzzle. When I went today there weren’t many visitors there and i walked around the village. They have named the streets.

Some people think the attendees are a disparate rag tag group of people who haven’t succeeded in life and want to hop on the bandwagon.
NZB3: How do you characterise the ranges of people you saw and met? Millennials or Zoomers? Teens?
Lots of old people too and young people. I was surprised the number of young people. Teens and 20`s. And a tent for old people to sit in with coffee and tea and bikkies.
There’s a big wall..people write on it with chalk
NZB3: I see a lot of hippies and alt-religious and Maoris. It reminds me of something like the Grey Lynn Festival or listening to George FM….it’s an energy I don’t connect with. It’s like a Hugger: A stranger who wants to meet me by touching me without getting to know me without going through my consent protocols. It’s benevolent but of a different energy frequency than the one I run.
They have Hare Krishna there playing their instruments and a Hare Krishna food tent. And a tent with clothes and bedding and tents and you can help yourself.
NZB3: Not much land left though eh?
They struggle to find more space for tents. When i was there a lady came with a small tent and the ones I were talking to said she can camp in between their tent.
I didn’t see a sign of human waste. I asked the lady and she said its bullshit. She said they clean the portaloos themselves every day.
NZB3: Did you see media?
While Ii was there I saw a young guy interviewing a lady who was in the tent with all the vax damaged family pics. He looked as if he was from a paper. He had one of those fluffy microphones. I doubt whether he would be from mainstream.
NZB3: Radio perhaps
There is a tent there and they have a pad and pens and envelopes and people write their story and how the mandates have affected them and they are giving them to parliament. The media have been muzzled by Jabcinda and her $50 million dollars
NZB3: What did you see police doing?
I didn’t see much evidence of that.
People there are desperate. Lost their jobs, and some lost their houses, and its not that comfy. Having to go to the portaloos and wait in line for a shower…
One man said, “They tell me to go home but i have no home to go to. I lost my job and couldn’t afford my mortgage.”
NZB3: Yeah what’s wrong with these people anyway? Go home. Go back to work. Let them eat cake. She’s so in touch.
Most people are mass psychosis about the whole thing.
NZB3: About life in general I’m afraid.
It’s bordering on hysteria here. I had to walk my bike along the footpath downtown today between lines of masked people waiting for booster jabs and the media is telling us the unvaxxed are 90 something percent likely to end up in hospital and the booster gives good protection…so many lies
[insert picture of Newshub mainstream media reporter from Auckland Harbour Bridge protest 26/Feb/2022 wearing a government mask in a sea of people who have moved on]
NZB3: If this stuff is online then I’ve not seen it.
What haven’t you seen online??
NZB3: These sorts of reports you’re giving me now. I guess it’s on ‘Dark Web’ platforms. Gab. Telegram.
We need balanced reporting and we don’t get that in msm. They said in media that the portaloos are overflowing. That’s rubbish. It’s all very clean and tidy. Not chaotic at all and not depressing. It’s very uplifting. And people haven’t lost heart. I reckon that pisses off the govt.
NZB3: I reckon so too.
That lady i was talking to said she saw Jabcinda peering out of the window. The media is grasping at straws trying to find any little incident and blowing it up.
NZB3: Its called Extinction Burst. You sent The Flip has begun ACT is trying it on.
I’ve been told an ambulance down in Greymouth took 45 minutes to come because they are short-staffed because the vax free ambo staff have been fired.
The receptionist at work..14 years there.. two boys and a hubby…and house in Tawa. She was forced and they moved up to Wanganui into a rental while they sell their Tawa house cos they can’t afford the mortgage. Then they will buy a cheaper house in Wanganui. That’s going on with heaps of people. Its ruining peoples lives and the vaxxed have no idea whats really going on.
NZB3: So many of the dissidents are so hard core.
I’ve been told that heaps of people from the West Coast DHB have been fired.
NZB3: Tomorrow (Friday 25/Feb) the last day to be jabbed or else lose your in the DHB. Teachers too? So, we’re about to find out.
Meanwhike 18 people die daily in NZ of preventable heart disease and 13 die daily from smoking but they aren’t subjected to vax passports for their lifestyle choices.
NZB3: Oh, careful what you wish for! People wake up at different rates to the Labour 6.0 power play. Some figured it out in early 2020. Some had to lose their jobs or be banned from the library or local pools. Many joined the Convoy and are camping at parliament to demand and end to the Covid Hysteria. Surely this is another milestone. Labour 6.0 is now openly proposing that the Red Light System will remain so that we can combat the common cold this winter.
“Ardern cautioned that the traffic light system was likely to remain in place for the winter to combat not just Covid, but the return of the flu, following two winters where the flu has been kept largely at bay thanks to Covid measures.” – NZ Herald (22 Feb, 2022)
Someone like me who is not sick and on no meds and isn’t a burden on the health system is denied freedom because i choose a healthy lifestyle.
Good to chat.. good night
