Criticism of Maori Elites is Racist…..warn Maori Elites

Fresh new lead news story this morning has been created by Maori elites who have written an open letter to politicians and would-be politicians¹.
You know they’re Maori because they’re telling you most loudly and you know they’re elites because it made front-line news. When was the last time you and your friends wrote a letter that instantly became a mainstream news story? Perquisites of the elite right there!

These Maoris are jumping on the coattails of Prime Minister Chris Hipkins who attacked his National Party opponent in a TV debate via association with likely partner New Zealand First. Stuff reports: “In a pin drop moment in the Newshub debate on Wednesday night, Hipkins quoted Ballantyne, saying he was speaking about Māori: “Cry if you want to, we don’t care. You pushed it too far. We are the party with the cultural mandate and courage to cut out your disease and bury it permanently.””
I quite like these open letters because they tell us what factions exist in New Zealand according to who self-identifies as being part of them. This happened earlier in 2023 when Lefty Celebrities cried out for a wealth tax. Perhaps paradoxically, they always use their big names and titles on these occasions too. The Sharing Wealth usual suspects included: Robyn Malcolm, Susan Devoy, David Cunliffe, Marian Hobbes, Ian Taylor. You get the idea.
A similar thing happened in 2018 when some Me Too women insisted on taking the side of Grace Millane in her sexual misadventures: Helen Clark, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Lizzie Marvelly, Nadia Lim, Mihingarangi Forbes, Michèle A’Court, Anika Moa, Siouxsie Wiles, etc. etc. Ref. 1972: Germaine Greer visits, AHNZ

What could be more funny than Maori Elites proving they are Maori Elites by striking back with their full privilege as soon as someone threatens Maori Elites! ‘Because Racism.’
Should Maori elites but cut out and buried? Is this a legitimate concern that enough people feel strongly about that expressing this view is worthwhile to win votes as per NZ First’s calculations? Can we discuss or debate it? No. It’s racist to consider that there could ever be a point to be made!
How about abusing Maori women at candidate debates? Well, why not? Do you mean nobody is allowed to be abused? Then why not say that? Instead it’s Maori who are Women who must never be abused- especially if they are speaking Maori. Everyone else is apparently fair game for abuse. So, the elites are trying to elevate Female-Maori-Speakers at debates to a privileged position. Why? It would be less racist or sexist to treat them like anyone else rather than to use elitist power to attribute privileged status this way. If you disagree you’re “racist.”
It will be interesting to see how many more years this “racist” gas tank has before it runs out. So far it have been a powerful and enduring weapon that never fails. Eventually someone will go to far and try to use it to get out of jail or assassinate one too many people. It has had a very long run so far.

1 I don’t accept the mainstream media view that someone is a politician when they are only at the point of trying to be elected or get some power. Are you a mountaineer just because you run up a bill at Hunting and Fishing? Are you an Olympian before you are selected? Maybe it suits the mainstream media to call people “politicians” because then their private lives are fair game for exploitation even though they’re only a candidate?

Note: The strategy/attitude reminds me of the time David Rankin (Ngapuhi Matarahurahu) questioned the Waikato Chief’s superiority and dominance of his own group/people and was immediately called a “tribal chauvinist” himself!
